A l'occasion de sa venue en France pour la promo de son dernier album, John Legend nous a parlé de son travail pour Evolver. Artiste discret, engagé, et surtout talentueux, John Legend est avant tout quelqu'un qui prend son temps pour donner le meilleur de lui-même. Rencontre.

Skyrock.fm : Bonjour John Legend.
John Legend : Merci, comment ça va ?
Skyrock.fm : Bien et toi ?
John Legend : Ça va bien. Merci.
Skyrock.fm : On va parler de ton nouvel album, Evolver, dans les bacs le 27 octobre, qui arrive 2 ans après Once Again.
John Legend : Oui, tous les deux ans (rires)
Skyrock.fm : Et qu’est-ce qu’Evolver signifie pour toi ?
John Legend : Ça veut dire que je veux essayer de nouvelle choses, différentes choses, expérimenter autre chose. Cet album a différents sons par rapport au précédent. Je voulais chanter différemment avec cet album.
Skyrock.fm : Tu voulais tout changer ?
John Legend : Non. Je suis toujours le même artiste (sourire). C’est moi, remixé (rires).
Skyrock.fm : Tu parles de son. Dans quel état d’esprit as-tu abordé ton 3ème album ?
John Legend : J’étais relax, je m’amusais, j’étais créatif et passionné par le fait de faire une nouvelle musique. Comme je disais, je voulais expérimenter. Voilà comment j’étais, dans quel état d’esprit je me trouvais. Le résultat est toute cette musique.
Skyrock.fm : Quelles sont tes attentes avec Evolver ?
John Legend : Je suis excité je pense que les fans vont l’adorer, que ça va bien se passer. Mais tu ne sais jamais tant qu’il n’est pas sorti. Je vais voir comment les gens vont l’accueillir et voir ce qu’ils vont dire. Mais j’ai hâte !: Suite/more=> skyrock.fm.
